I can’t tell if it was spring or fall in the photos but the year was 1957. My sister would have been +/- 6 years old. I was 15 -20 months.
I remember that house in North Chicago. We lived there until I was 6. I was told my parents rented only the upstairs at first but they’d rented the whole house by the time I remember it. It was across the street from the Junior High School. One year a tornado took a large tree from in front of the school and deposited it on our front lawn and through our front window. The Leonards lived next door. Oh my, there are stories about the Leonards!
I’m oblivious. My sister is looking a little tentative. Dad is not smiling.
Still oblivious but I finally found the camera. My sister looks frightened. Mom is angry.
