There was a little color in the sky over Harper’s Valley as the sun came up this morning. We left for the Dog Park about 5:45 AM. It was a very pleasant 73* F.
NOTE: There are smarter things to do than take pictures with an iPhone while driving on the expressway. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
The Scottsdale Parks Department re-opened the South gates to the off-leash enclosures at Chaparral Park since our last visit. These are the gates closest to the parking lots. For some of the regulars this is a very big deal indeed. [See my Previous Post]. The Parks Department also rotated the enclosures so the Active Dogs are now in an area where the grass is new and thick; and, this morning, very wet. The water source is not as convenient but as it gets cooler that is less critical. On the whole, the area is an improvement from the previous area designated for Active Dogs. Harper approves.
Upon her arrival Harper made the rounds to greet all the familiar faces and butts. This white shepherd is a frequent running mate.
The greyhound that peed on my leg last weekend came over for a scratch. He got one, but from a safe distance.
