It is 7:00 PM MST and we have reached today’s projected high temperature of 93*F. That’s 34*C for thems that roll that way. It’s a perfect time to enjoy a refreshing beverage.
Thursday evening Harper’s Other Dad and I visited one of our favorite watering holes for a cocktail before the Symphony. Overhearing a series of conversational segues too banal to relate, our bartender and new BFF, Wayne, gave us a sample of Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur. It is quite tasty.
The fine folks at Domaine de Canton assure me they make it with all natural ingredients including baby ginger for Vietnam.** On the label they assure the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms that it is 28% alcohol by volume. As has been well-documented in the other household blog, we take pride in keeping a well-stocked liquor cabinet so this morning I bought a bottle. Consequently, this evening’s beverage is Ginger Liqueur and Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade.
*MST – That’s an abbreviation for “This is Arizona damn-it! We don’t need to stinking Daylight Savings Time!”
** There is a drag name in there somewhere.
