They also have a couple nice beaches and decent snorkeling
Yelapa is a small town west of Puerto Vallarta.
It is accessible by road but the best way to get there is a 45-minute boat ride across the bay.
In Yelapa they make a local moonshine from mescal called Raicilla.
It tastes a little like tequila but has a distinctive smoky flavor.
It is VERY strong.
The Puerto Vallarta Hooters has closed but the clothing boutique next door seems to have expanded to fill the void.
